There’s a fairly good chance this will be my last update while I’m actually in Florida. I can’t even handle how depressing this is. No offense Canadian friends and family, but I really do belong down here and this is by far going to be the hardest summer to walk away from. Have fun dealing with me when I get home yayyyy.
Saturday July 28th:
I spent most of my shift at D Street colouring and not being very productive at all, as usual at D Street. I did a whole bunch of vinyl trading and at the end of the night we had to close pin cart for rain. I don’t think I was really working with any of my close friends at all so it was a pretty boring shift. Aaron came in at the end of my shift to vinyl trade and I brought him backstage quickly so I could grab my stuff and then we went over to AMC to watch batman which was so good oh my gosh. I know Sarah hated it so she’s going to be judging me right now, but I loved it so whatever. It’s a freakin long movie though so I didn’t get home til like 3:30 which wasn’t that fun.
Sunday July 29th:
I was at Cauldron and annoyed for 99% of my shift, as usual at Cauldron. There were a lot of people I dislike working and it was insanely busy and people called out and it sucked. They tried to extend me but I refused because I had to go home and actually start packing and Brent and Alex were supposed to be picking me up. Brent and Albert actually came in to visit me and told me I looked suicidal while trying to give a guest a candy apple so that was nice. Alex and Brent finally picked me up and we got food from Steak n Shake and then came home to start packing and watch an episode of Big Brother.
Monday July 30th:
Albert came and picked up Alex and I at like 10ish I believe and we went over to Theme Park Connection again. I was suuuuper close to buying a bunch of Peter Pan pins but I controlled myself and didn’t buy a single thing. I would seriously love to live in that store though, oh my gosh. We headed back to Chatham to drop me off after cause I was freakin dying. I don’t know when or why I got so sick but it was awful. I had a few hours before work so I watched The Inbetweeners and died in bed. Then I went off to D Street for my last ever shift there. I had such a sever case of senioritis, oh my gosh. I legitimately did nothing in the back for an hour because my 2 favourite coordinators were working and then my 3rdish favourite was like “if you clean all these boxes I’ll give you a GSF.” Well all these boxes was actually like 6 boxes FULL of new stock. I had to rearrange everything on the floor to make room for stuff and it took foreverrrr. Legitimately my whole shift minus 2 breaks, 30 minutes on pin cart, and a 10 minute visit from Brent and Albert was spent doing the stock stuff in the back. I definitely did some slacking back there too, especially since Alyssa was with me for a while and we just bothered everyone, but I got everything done and got 2 GSFs out of the whole situation. AND I bought myself the Park 9 chaser (TOT bellhop) because Alex is awesome and knew where it was located in the box and being a D Street cast member, I open the boxes in the back before they get put on the floor. I obviously got permission to take the chaser and hide it for myself, and I’m so excited that I own it jaktwjle. After work Kim, Jen, Eric, Maritza, Erin, Yvonne, and I all went to Perkins for food. We were there til 3:30 and it was the funniest night of my life. I’m honestly going to miss these people so much.
Tuesday July 31st:
Alex and I were supposed to go for park opening at MK but we both slept in and that didn’t happen. We got up at like 10:30 and started packing and actually got so much accomplished. I headed over to work at Cauldron at 4:45 and had another one of those days where I didn’t do too much. Senioritis, I’m telling you. Yvonne and I did a lot of hanging out in the back and Jen managed to convince the other coordinator working tonight to switch with her so she could work my area so obviously I got nothing done. I mean I did do some work, but I could have definitely made more of an effort. At closing I started throwing stuff everywhere by accident, it was so awful. The other day I accidentally threw 3 items on the ground and tonight I totally did it again. Went to grab a box and knocked a cupcake box on the ground. Thank God it only had one cupcake in it but my manager totally saw and laughed at me. Then I threw some fudge and chocolate covered marshmallows on the ground by accident too. It was a great night. When we finished, Yvonne, David, Jen, Elizabeth, and I went to ihop for food. I had to say bye to Jen at the end and it was awful. There are like 5 goodbyes I’m not looking forward to at alllll and that was one of them and I’m going to cry thinking about it, ugh.
